Don't believe I'm too out of the ordinary but I didn't want several hundred miles on my new purchase. They did a swap of cars with that dealer before my car left the port of entry and so it was delivered via the normal car transport truck…..no add on mileage. What they did was to determine which local dealer was assigned to receive the car I wanted from the factory. My dealer didn't have the trim/color I wanted. Typical/normal or not I would not want someone other than myself putting on the first hundred or more miles on my new car.
For any work that involves refrigerants over here, you can only have it done by someone that is licensed. Some of these kits come with refrigerant that includes a leak stopper chemical and i think i would give that a try since there's nothing to lose. I would suggest if you're having A/C issues to take your car and have it tested by a professional shop. If it shows R134A refrigerant than yes you can buy a recharge kit. Is that stuff compatible with the Camry's freon?
When the engine is cold the ETC switch should be closed( that opens the radiator fan #1 relay) keeping the fan from running. I noticed what appeared to be 2 sensors on the top near the fill neck. Where is the sensor that triggers the relay for fan #1 and how does it work? The temp guage on casino adrian the dash is working properly and I found its 2 sensor to be right next to the radiator cap. Obviously both fans are functioning but the temperature trigger that turns on fan #1 is not sending voltage to the relay at the appropriate time.

I would not replace the hoses on a 14 year old system unless you have to. If it is way low, then yes, check for leaks. If it is just a tad low and you haven't added refrigerant in eons, then adding a few ounces will probably do the job and spending $80 is overkill. A good a/c guy can pop the gauges on and know in a couple minutes if the pressures are in the ballpark. Compressor's lubrication comes from the circulating refrigerant that carries oil.
